It was 90% frosting, so maybe there wasn’t any actual chocolate in it.

I had a big ol’ dopy grin during the entire wedding scene; it was perfect. Boyle’s “title of my sextape” thing was probably the biggest laugh for me.
I’ll probably stop commenting on it from here on out, unless they switch things up, but the “danger isn’t really dangerous” thing still isn’t working for me. They almost treat the ponies and the mist as threats, but the majority of the time, whenever they make a threat, the ducks are like, “Ugh, THIS again?” instead…
Yup. I’m all for it.
I think most of the adult characters (Usnavi, the Rosario parents, etc.) can still work given their actors’ ages. The younger ones (Benny, Nina, Sonny) probably wouldn’t.
As a life-long fan of Jim Henson and Muppets, I’m not too sold on this.
I hope Rachel Bloom uses her time now to hit Broadway in some fashion - either get her in a musical and have her write her own.
I could watch Scully getting hit in the noggin with a stapler for hours and never be sick of it.
Oh, no. Whatever shall we do now?
I’m not shocked, but I am saddened. It wasn’t a perfect show, but it was very funny and filled the 30 Rock void very well. I’ll miss it.
This was probably the episode I enjoyed the most since the premiere; at all seemed to click for me. There was a whole lot in the episode, but it didn’t feel overstuffed. And I’m glad Darkwing’s appearance is out of the way now; fans are nuts about him.
FUCK, man.
I remember being a dumb eight grader and wasting my money seeing Meet the Spartans, even though I never saw 300.
I enjoy this news.
The stuff at the beginning was a little distractingly useless once the plot kicked in.
I think you hit the nail on the head in a previous review about what isn’t working so far; it doesn’t feel very adventurous nor does it feel like there’s ever any stakes.
And the animation isn’t even better than the TV show. The direct-to-video superhero things WB makes have way way better animation, and yet this is being put in movie theaters.
As someone who A. went to church as a child every week and B. was a student alumini donation caller in college, those two bits were the standouts for me.
I think this would’ve made a great 100th episode (even though then went the perfectly appropriate route of making 99 the go-big-or-go-home one).
