Hachie Machie!
Hachie Machie!
I’ve pretty much stopped tuning into the show shortly after it made the jump to HD, but I’ll typically come back for these Halloween ones, as underwhelming as they are, but there’s a better chance it’ll be more entertaining than the normal episodes.
This one was kinda “meh” for me. We’ve surprisingly seen so little of Scrooge that the B-plot was just a wash having him do nothing but sit around.
The choreography in the first two songs was so good.
Briga Heelan’s hair was on point.
When was this filmed? The “paper towel” thing only happened like a couple of weeks ago.
Fantastic episode; I loved every minute of it.
I wouldn’t say she “lies like a pro.” She makes no effort to be convincing at all.
“Divine intervention intervened”

Right when Holt appeared in the cold open, I knew this would be a good episode.
“Wet Painters / Krusty Krab Training Video” is a flawless half hour of animated TV comedy.
Wow. What a joik.
Right now, I’m missing a sense of action or threat. So many of my favorite cartoon episodes are about them being in impossible danger (except the Venture Bros, which beautifully does the “danger is blasé” thing). The stuff toward the end was interesting, but I don’t get a “life-threatening” feel from it. Yeah, I know…
“Let’s Generalize About Men” is great; first instant classic of the season. And lordy, Heather talks in monotone so much, when she actually uses her singing voice, it’s like a totally different person.
But now you gotta see what cah-razy! outfit Roger is wearing!
The commentary / satire was a little wonky, I’ll agree. But, this was probably the most I laughed at an episode during the entire run. YO MNN RAPS! and Gene with the fuckin’ banana were gold.
At this rate, The Simpsons will have predicted the rest of the course for human history.
