Yeah.

Is it time yet to create a Creeps sub-section of The AV Club?

I feel like those still are not accurate descriptors of the choices. You’re supposed to use Truth when the witness is being honest with you, Doubt when the witness is lying but you don’t have proof, and Lie when the witness is lying and you do have proof. Why can’t they make that clear?

And the other thing about the Suchet version is it so perfectly captures that feeling of loss felt when tragedy strikes, and how death is like (to paraphrase what I think Patton Oswalt said) a bomb blast going off and it leaves a huge crater.

The video game versions from about a decade ago of And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express both came up with alternate solutions. The ATTWN one sort of made sense; the Orient Express depended on a crazy number of new clues and subplots. The Suchet version really is worth it for his final battle with

I actually liked the coked/sexed up recent And then There Were None—but the Soviet remains my favourite. I know it has two parts, but I always thought it was theatrical. Nonetheless it really captures the isolation and disturbing aspects of the novel (granted, I first read the book when I was 9 or 10 when it seemed

They (no joke) tease a new Death On The Nile movie at the end.

There doesn’t need to be any more Hercule Poirot adaptations now that David Suchet has done them all.

If one of these allegations turn out to be false, the whole “outing the harassers” movement is liable to cave in, because the people in power will be able to use it as an excuse to ignore things again. I don’t want Jeffrey Tambor to have harassed anyone, but false allegations are both extremely rare and extremely

So, I’m trying to look at some positives here and know that those people are with the Lord now and experiencing eternity and no more suffering, no more sadness anymore.

By that logic, if you kill someone in a church, you’re basically doing then a favor.

It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off.

My guess, Tyrese, is your next franchise is going to be an Arby’s if you keep this up.

Yeah only on planet FUCK THIS WEED IS STRONG is Litter Caesar’s a preferred dinner choice over Pizza Hut.

Holy shit, this is not a complex topic, and yet 90% of the commenters are totally thrown. Diana is NOT advocating for the right to libel people at will. She is arguing that the words “alleged” and “accused” are bad ways to carefully source allegations.

Kinja sucks. It has destroyed this once vibrant, unique fun community. I’ll give you that much. But I’m glad AV Club is covering every single sexual harassment/assault allegation against famous celebrities. It’s depressing but necessary.

It’s not fair to the AV Club to complain about their coverage of celebrity sexual harassment since that’s pretty much the entire stated purview of a pop culture media website. Kinja, on the other hand, and the influx in trolls and Kinja’s rewarding them is completely valid.

I’m sick and tired of older, established actresses stealing parts from the next generation. How are we ever supposed to develop new stars if all the best roles are going to actresses over 40?

If the commercials for Haribo are correct, then the children are enslaving their own kind!

The BBC did an absolutely MARVELOUS adaptation a few years back. I would go so far as to call it the BEST adaptation of a Christie novel I've ever seen. And it is one of the very few films to stay true to the original novel.
