Actually, the unicorn was Ross Perot.
Actually, the unicorn was Ross Perot.
I think the main error democrats made back in 2009 was in crafting a wholly-new complex system for the ACA, riddled with openings for controversy and lawsuits, when they could have just extended medicare to everyone and put the necessary facilitators around it (like portable electronic health records (a la France) and…
‘Don’t shoot him, he’s gonna put it down, we know him,’. Apparently you don’t! Why didn’t one of the cops allow this guy to stab them so they could take they knife away. Would that have pleased everyone and diffused the situation? Black man doesn’t have weapon and cop is stabbed, everyone is happy.
But again...... its going to destroy the government. It’ll literally start the process of the end of democracy in the united states.
It was brutal to watch, but I just don’t see how it isn’t justified in the eyes of the law. Like cut and dry.
I think it ends with the death of the Republican party.
In the city of Milwaukee, the murder rate is up 100%.
Murders in Philly are up 38% YoY, along with multiple cities showing even larger increases in murder rates. Yet that will never be discussed on this website even though it affects far more black people than police shootings. Let’s also take in the fact that on one hand the police were 10ft away from a knife wielding…
The Democrats are never responsible for anything at all, are they? No, they had no procedural methods to block this. But this is the culmination of a long process, one which did not start with Clinton’s loss.
Ugh... the way this year has been going, I fully expect Trump to win re-election, and the Senate to stay in the GOP’s hands, and the House to revert back to GOP control.
How did not having principles work for you?
Move along from thinking that is going to happen. Poll after poll shows the general pubic is NOT in support of adding more justices. Biden is no different. He has stopped talking about it because he does not want to upset his base in a close election, but he has been solidly against it in the past.
You know how it’s not a farce? I’ll give you two reasons. Number 1, everything they did was fully in their rights per the constitution. Number 2, if we had a Democrat president and democrat controlled senates, you bet your ass they would’ve done the same damn thing. Also, this is why vote. We want our elected…
Expanding the courts is a bad idea for several reasons. Specifically, do we really want more justices added every 4-8 years when the senate swings? I’m not totally against expanding the court, but, if they were to do so, I’d want a bipartisan vote and a date 5-10 years in the future when the expansion process begins.…

Because he didn’t say good, he said “go ahead”
I came here looking for some explanation for the NY Post story, since all NBC gave me was the same wee blurb Ashley has written up here. I’m a west coaster and I have questions. Is the NY Post a legitimate news organization? I thought it was. But if so, what is it doing publishing articles about Hunter Biden and…
Again, he’s ahead of the curve by not spitting all over the cake. Pre-covid I never would have given blowing out the candles a second look but now it seems risky and gross!
I’m willing to give Mitt a pass for opposing us on the Barrett confirmation.
What was Bill Burr just saying about White Women centering themselves and co opting non-white people's struggle........
