A normal shim stack damper you have some compromises, with the DSSV we could separate the cross talk between compression and rebound. And working with Multimatic, because they have a racing background, they understood the project and helped us develop the car at the track. They came to the 'Ring with us and did work

There's Corvette buyers and there are Camaro buyers. The Corvette is very fast and use them for driver training cars. The Z/28 fills the niche between the 2 seat sports car and 4 seat sports car. A little more utilitarian than a Corvette and a different statement.

I sold it 2 years ago.

I wasn't asked to make it cheap, I was asked to make it fast.

I've never seen the movie.

As long as we want and GM meets its CAFE numbers we can blend our portfolio as we want.

Originally the code name for ZL1 was Z/28, but right before launch we decided to call it ZL1 and keep Z/28 for a real road race style car.

The guys from GM design staff we're extremely involved in the wind tunnel aspects and excited about finding the downforce we asked for.

Competition makes the breed stronger, I look forward to what our competitors across town can bring. I think it's good.

We wish them luck.

The Camaro is a super durable car. During development we unfortunately had some off track excursions, but it's a fine car to be in in an incident like that.

We talked about going back, but the trip got scrubbed due to timing. The car will go faster, but we're happy with the 7:37 time and I think the video is epic. I'm happy with where we ended up.

We're at the track at the same time, boys will be boys, we compare laptimes, but we won't do a direct comparison.

The LS7 will go out of production with the Z/28.

Sorry buddy.

A car like this starts off with design staff and initial clays, there's a team of people, design and lease engineers. It's hard to give a number. But there were about six full time people on the Z/28.

From a track perspective, it's the brakes. They're addictively good. It challenges you to go deeper and deeper and deeper.

The car was always going to be an LS7 since it's our highest powered NA engine.

I think that race series is dead, isn't it?

The base structure is a fairly large car, with all the safety regs and everything that's mandated, we took out as much mass as we could. We could do an aluminum frame or something like that.
