Yeah, I’ve definitely closed down a few places in my time, and you’re right. The door is never locked now that I think about it. It’s not locked until all patrons are out.

I’m guessing its not normally a problem. I’ve walked into closed stores and restaurants MANY times in my life. Never was the door locked. Someone said “sorry we’re closed” and I said “ope, sorry” and walked out because I’m not looking to be a victim all my life.

I mean, the story says they were told multiple times the place was closed and need to leave, also that they entered a half hour after closing even. The whole situation could have been handled better and the off-duty cop didn’t need to put his hands on anyone. Although, the ladies should have listened to management…

The restaurant says they were closed, but the women say the restaurant was open because people were still dining. Anyone who’s worked service knows a closed restaurant often has people in it well beyond the official closing time, and while the public may still be inside, no one new gets to come in.

Nope me too. And I would have rather seen a picture of the injured man (or no pic at all) than a picture of a dead cougar who was trying to survive while we humans walk/ride around in what’s left of his house. Fuck us all. Truly sad for all involved.
