I apologize, as that was not my intention, but I can see how it came off that way. It felt like this article was specifically talking about the disproportionate amounts of domestic violence against women enacted by men, and to me it seemed that the original poster was attempting to derail that discussion.

Nah. Placebo’s cover of “Running Up That Hill”, which should be on this list, is hot garbage.

Yeah but to me that doesn’t qualify them for “worst” status. I agree they’re inconsequential, but that’s true of a whole lot of covers that aren’t on this list.

The phenomenon of musical trailers that are desperate to hide that they’re musicals is really depressing to me. Like a clearly closeted guy playing all sorts of pronouns games to hide the identity of their partner.

They left out the cover of “Boys Of Summer” by whatever “punk” group.

I don’t think it’s fair to put Michael Bolton on this list. I’m no fan in general, but his cover is perfectly competent and right up the middle for his sound.  It’s certainly not offensive...it’s just adult easy listening.
