Obviously, obviously, Dolly gets a pass, but nobody should work with Kid Rock again ever.

Maybe the fact that his previous two films were both deeply in need of some editing made people look at the 179 minute run time and say “nah”. That’s certainly what happened with me.
What is your deal? Newman and Woodward went on to be married for 50 years. And this is about a book written by their daughter.
Cheating to cheat is one thing, falling in love with someone else is a totally different thing. You can’t help who you fall in love with and they did stay together their entire lives.
I see this sentiment sometimes and it always irks me. The nature of TV narrative is *not the same* as film narrative. You shouldn't compare the experiences as a 1:1. The expectations are different, the nature of the plot and character progression are different, the structure is different... It's not apples and oranges…
It’s almost as if it’s none of our business, really.
Who cares?
The obvious counterargument would be “Well the film probably wouldn’t make money,” but KOTFM likely won’t make money either, so why not?
I don’t agree with all of her points, but I understand and respect her view on this. I’m Jewish, I’ve seen Schindler’s List, it’s not a fun experience watching your people be oppressed and murdered on screen, and it’s probably even more difficult to watch it be depicted by someone who looks like the people who did it,…
I did appreciate that League highlighted that there were queer spaces back then that weren’t just windowless bars where people could be out and proud, but I do think that’s different than showing the bigger world around those characters.
That is kinda the issue though, its the whole “Bury your gays” narrative. Sure same sex love is still attacked a lot by some groups and countries but overall 2023 may be the safest time in history to be out and proud and we need more love stories about two happy gay people finding each other and living happily ever…
I still think it’s nice to be able to see white gay misery with a budget and talent behind it, rather than being relatively artless. Bohmer and Bailey are excellent actors, and even if this inevitably ends with one or t’other weeping over an AIDS death I’m sure this’ll be highly watchable.
As much as I liked A League of Their Own, its characters being “I’m happy being a lesbian and it’s only outsiders who have a problem with it” really made the struggle of queer people in earlier times seem much too simplistic. I’m hoping that this is going to be a lot more complex, delving into the self-hate, the lies…
If it was actually between “The Notebook,” a movie that I’m sure has plenty of fans, and “In the Zone,” a global highlight of 2000s dance music, I think we’re living the better timeline.
My husband thinks that “Cat Daddy” guy is creepy and looks like a sexual predator.
4. As much as I love the classic Universal Monsters, they really are relics of the past.
It sounds like he’s a junkie and she was trying to get him into rehab. It’s none of our business so I’m not sure why the media keeps obsessing over it.
If you asked me, far stupider things have been sold.
