Yeah. I’m 6'4". reclining is the difference between my knees touching your seat and my knees being in your seat, and it cuts the amount of time until my knee starts to really hurt by about half. A tall person ever help you reach something on a high shelf? pay it forward and don’t recline.

“Can” happen again? Fuel costs will go up again and then we’ll end up right back where we were: with an American auto industry that’s grown complacent selling low quality urban assault vehicles to soccer moms suddenly starts screaming bloody murder when people realize you don’t need to pay to fuel a Sherman tank just

But that’s the point. in the US most households have 2+ cars. if electric cars were similar in price to buy and cheaper to fuel than conventional cars, people would warm to them. That day, has, however not yet come on either the car or fuel price fronts.

yeah and a couple faithless electors breaking ranks, especially if it impacts the outcome, would do a pretty good job of showing why the electoral college should go. it’s not about “asking a favor”. it’s about taking somethign that’s clearly flawed and pushing that flaw until it becomes impossible to ignore.

He’s too busy with his law blog

Yeah except red states, for all their fiscal responsibility, largely spend vastly more federal tax dollars than they produce. They talk about “seceding” all the time but if they ever did they’d be a 3rd world hellhole within the decade.

Oil companies are largely also Natural Gas companies. Seeing how Wind and solar are completely dependent on natural gas to meet demand, and that most so-called environmentalists are terrified of nuclear energy (Even though it is, statistically speaking, our safest energy source) I’m guessing the oil companies will

Not bad. but nothing beats that fan trailer cut to Sabatoge.

A Bagel is like a piece of scaffolding. It’s pretty useless on it’s own. the reason to have it, is to put shit on it.

I’ll put $20 on “Honda Civic”

Fairness Bias: If house republicans walked in today and said the sky was red, tomorrow’s headline would read “Congress can’t agree on color of sky”

“...Hell Yeah! Zombies!”

Portal 2 co-op

The crewed vessel is launched before the tanker because if that is the case 1 tanker can perform all 5 or so fuel tanker missions, where if you place the tankers in orbit first, you need 5 spacecraft. Of course this makes it all dependent of SpaceX delivering as yet unheard of reusability and turnaround time, but

I want a Clarkson GPS voice that insults me when I miss a turn.

It’s not like they let the reactor melt down or something. They just shut it down. We just wait until the ice uncovers enough of it to make it easily accessible, pluck it out of there, remove the fuel rods and chuck it in a museum somewhere. I’d be more worried about actual toxic waste from the machine shop.
