Personality-wise, 12 and 1 are very similar so it's just a bit fitting. The first Doctor is pretty low on my list of favorites as well though. Agree on McGann. It's a sin he hasn't gotten a proper appearance in a multi-Doctor New Who episode.

Of all the multi-Doctor pairings, 12 and 1 feels oh so very appropriate. I am excited for Christmas!!!
I'm still spontaneously laughing at this a month later.
Except for that whole year off the air.
I'm pretty sure he did say 4-year-old and the reviewer got it wrong.
Martha?
Dustin is the greatest!
They do share significant similarities though. "You will be assimilated," is only marginally different from, "You will be upgraded." Both think they're doing a favor for the civilizations that they encounter. Both have their members connected to a singular collective consciousness. Star Trek didn't steal the idea, but…
Your opinion is garbage and you suck butts.
How huge of a hard-on do you think Moffat gave himself while writing this episode?
I might be wrong but couldn't a heart attack throw off a blood clot that then makes its way to the brain and causes a stroke?
Ernesto
I thought of that too, but I feel like with the way Chuck tore that place apart he would've found it. Not even Mike's handiwork could survive that thorough of an "investigation".
Most surprising element of the finale: no appearance by Mike!!
Everything Jian Yang did tonight was gold. Everything Jared did tonight was gold. Zach Woods deserves an Emmy. Can't think no more. Sleep now.
Well, there was Penny, but we all know how that went…twice lol.
If Missy were pre-Delgado then the Doctor would have immediately recognized her in Dark Water.
The Jacobi Master saying he was found as a child with the watch could've easily been a false memory implanted by the chameleon arch, much like The Doctor had some false memories implanted about growing up in Nottingham.
Right after "The Husbands of River Song" would've been an appropriate time for him to step down, and he even admitted he heavily considered it.
The promos to which I'm referring air in the middle of the episodes, not after the credits. They show scenes from later in the episode while the episode is still airing.
