I never even thought of that as a possibility. Holy crap. I need to re-watch right now to see if there are any subtle hints that this is what her plan was. If so.. God damn Elizabeth is even more cold blooded than I thought.

Those damn Commies.
Not sure why you're being condescending about it, I wasn't trying to say anything bad about your original comment, just offering a different perspective.
Hence why I said "if you were in Philip and Elizabeth's position..". Obviously any decent person wouldn't be in their position, but these are the kinds of moral questions you have to ask yourself when watching a show like this.
It's possible that she might have never noticed them, but if you were in Philip and Elizabeth's position, is that a risk you'd be willing to take?
Once again the Facebook fans of The Americans completely blow my mind with their intense stupidity. How could anyone complain about this amazing episode? And just in case anyone is doubting how bad the comments could be, here's one gem I found:
"I do not know how anyone considers these communist maggots to be…
It's coming. Just be patient.
Those are the type of viewers that were probably watching every night waiting for Tony and Dr. Melfi to get together or for someone to get whacked. It seems there was a very large portion of The Sopranos fanbase that watched the show for different reasons than us.
I'm wondering what role Nina has to play as the show continues. It seems like she must play some sort of important role, or it would be pointless to keep her alive after last season.
Never break The Chain.
I agree. Don't ever look at The Americans Facebook page though, it seems the viewers on there think this season is too slow and a massive drop in quality.
I'd love either to win, and there is definitely more competition for best actor, but I still feel like Rhys has put on the better performance of the two if I had to pick, especially in the past two seasons. This season especially it almost seems like he's the more important character, a lot of the big arcs revolve…
Regardless of your feelings about Limp Bizkit (I think they suck), you can't deny WWE put their songs to good use. The Rock Vs. Stone Cold Wrestlemania 17 promo with "My Way" playing over it is great.
I doubt it was just fan service. Mike and Saul are going to have a working relationship at some point, so perhaps Mike will be a major catalyst in Jimmy's transformation into Saul. Also, to me this seemed like an important episode because while it did give Breaking Bad fans new information about Mike, it was more…
This.
The Sopranos has aged great. I watched it for the first time last year and just re-watched it again recently for the third time. It's a great series, so many fantastic, entertaining characters, even if they aren't all that likable as a human beings.
I would have The Wire and The Sopranos tied at number 1 with Breaking Bad as my number 2. Sure it's cheating, but I just can't decide. Regardless, those three stand above the rest.
They're both equal to me. The Wire has a larger scope, but The Sopranos was more entertaining and is more fun to binge watch. Both are masterpieces though in their own right.
I've understood why people rooted for him, because he's just a TV character, but to see some people actually try to defend him as a human being and say he was just supporting his family completely blows my mind.
"I loved him like a brother-in-law."
