I was skimming after the first graf and thought for a second Marc Maron had done an episode of Between Two Ferns and get really excited. Then I clicked the link and was like "Oh, they meant Obama."

This movie was to 90s indie slacker comedies what The Boondock Saints was to 90s Tarantino rip-offs. They had the cast, they had the setting, they had the look, they forgot the movie.
Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
Yeah they've definitely used it before, in fact I'm pretty sure it's why Gavin Belson thought his nickname was Baghead, he'd probably only ever read the name before.
Hopefully this means less Baruchel on front of the camera this time. His character in Goon was insufferable.
I hate this movie if only for the number of arguments I had with friends over whether the robots at the end were aliens. Credit to the writer of this article for nodding to that misconception. That simple design choice ended up being so aggravating.
To be fair, most Lennon-Garant-written movies you *could* just put anybody in the director's chair.
The Avengers and Cabin in the Woods. I like Joss Whedon as a showrunner but I kind of hate his movies. Cabin in the Woods fared a bit better with me(and I realize Whedon didn't direct it), but I don't give it as much kudos as everyone else. Apart from the monster mash sequence, it's a pretty below-average movie…
Yeah I had the GI Joe equivalent, the USS Flagg aircraft carrier as a kid. It was so big and awesome I kept it in my room for an unseemly long time.
