Not fantasy, but sci fi: Im getting rather tired of the alien-built gateway to another part of the universe. The trope has been around for ages, but Stargate made it a cliche. Nevertheless, it's everywhere from The Expanse series and the Spin series to the movie Interstellar.

I'll have a tall Ejaculatte.

Salt, pepper, and MSG. Colonel Sanders's secret is out.

Australians reportedly like pickled beets on their hamburgers, which I've tried and can vouch for being delicious.

Picard has a stack of PADDs on his desk and calls it "paperwork." The Enterprise doesnt have WiFi?

Quick thing: the brawl happened in south Anchorage, which is an hour's drive, at least, from Wasilla. The Anchorage Police Department filed the report, so it couldn't have happened in Wasilla, a completely different place. This is all accurately reported in the source material for this story.

Red Mars had a strong central murder mystery too and ended with incredible spectacle. I could go for either Red Mars or 2312.

I've had to replace four Lightning cables this year that have simply stopped working with no visible damage. I assume the cable on this set of headphones will be more durable? If so, could Philips please make a simple USB to Lightning charging cable that doesn't suck?

I want a phone that turns into my desktop computer when I set it down on a charging mat in front of my super-high resolution monitor. Out in the field, it can do calls, texts, Facebook, calendar, and such. At my desk, it could switch over to Photoshop and Illustrator.

I keep my hair long for religious reasons too because, you know, Jesus.

Here's my city's contribution to this story. Hoping the Justice League of America relocates to Rochester.

Towing Jehovah needs to be here somewhere. And it so needs to be made into a movie.

Nice nod to the German sausage bun in the main photo. The bread is less of an enveloping cradle to contain the meat and condiments and more of a handle. Makes me crave currywurst.

Here's a typical British fridge. Most perishables are bought on the walk home from the train station.

The hard boiled eggs I've had in Britain are so much better than in the States. Everywhere I ordered them, they came out with a dark, silky smooth yolk. I've tried to replicate this here at home, but still get the paler, chalky texture. I wonder if this is relates to refrigeration and the egg handling process.

I wanna see a fair fight between this guy and Banksy. No cherry picker or municipal street art festival — just two dudes making guerrilla art in the dead of night while avoiding security cameras and the cops.

Times, they are a-changin'.

There are also more opera singers and nuclear physicists in the US than Germany. America is a big country.
