Had Elizabeth run I could have cast a vote for a nationalist, a populist, a thoughtful and honorable person who carries with her no sense of superiority or pretension. She is noble in her actions and usually in her words. Hell, she wrote a personal finance book that is still working its way through my mind.

But it feels like a long shot at best and sadly, nothing more.

I have an Anova and the Blue Tooth connection is useless although the unit itself is great. Once you learn sous-vide it will change your cooking life.

Really excited to read this when I’m not at work, but felt compelled to raise a Toys “R” Us tangent:

Ransom demands included a new coffee maker and access to the Stargate.

Charmin Ultra Strong. It holds up really well, doesn’t pill, and the roll lasts a long time since you don’t use as much.

I still wish Edgar Wright had been tapped to direct this, but oh well, maybe it’ll get a proper budget with Spielberg.

Let me explain one thing to you: I want it. I will buy it. I will spend all the money on it.

These types of services show up towards the end of every tech bubble then fade quickly when the belt tightening comes. I guess millennials want to eat but just can’t be bothered to spend 30 minutes in a grocery store or market.

I’m a big fan of Amazon, and order stuff pretty much weekly with Prime, but Pantry has left me cold. As you said, the prices are usually the same or more than at the supermarket, AND my Prime shipping doesn’t apply. Heck, I wouldn’t even want 2 day shipping, but paying for shipping after I already paid for free

I’ve always been a bit turned off by it. I mean, I get why they would do it if they were losing money by people having individual items shipped separately. But it always rubbed me the wrong way that they tried to spin it as if they were doing us a favor by offering this new service.

The Ardrey Kell High School talent show: You pay for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge

I justed starred both of these comments.

No we’re not.

It’s part of being on salary and it’s been the norm in the last three companies I’ve worked for. And it’s not unusual at all, with high profile cases like how Tim Burton took Nightmare Before Christmas back to Disney because he originally had the idea while there in the 80s and had started working on some aspects of

It’s surprisingly common. I work for a large tech company, and this came up the other day - I don’t know a single person here that hasn’t had a similar agreement at every business they’ve ever worked for.

It might just be in the fine print, a lot of times it’s glossed over. Which makes it fun when you invent something
