Same. Spotify is the service that made me forget about downloading music and I love it, and the last thing I’d want to do is move services (even if I’m already knee deep in Google’s ecosystem). I would like it to be like the Echo is now, which defaults to Amazon Prime music but will play Spotify when you tell it to.

It’s surprisingly common. I work for a large tech company, and this came up the other day - I don’t know a single person here that hasn’t had a similar agreement at every business they’ve ever worked for.
