But it's not stealing. Someone left a bowl out in front of their house with no indication of how many to take.

Not at all more harmful than piracy. This is an isolated event. EA will see this as a mistake, punish whoever was responsible internally and move on while accepting losses. Piracy has a LONG-TERM effect on the industry on both sides.
Well that's perfectly acceptable. Use that reason for calling people out, not some self-righteous bull that turns piracy and this event into some stupid black and white comparison. That kind of perspective is the very reason why publishers think DRM is the answer, because they don't see a gray area.
Wasn't a perfect analogy. A better analogy would've been a big bowl of candy left out on Halloween, is it the same to take as much candy as you could out of that bowl as it would be to steal candy from a store? I'm sure the owner of the bowl wouldn't intend on one person taking half the bowl but there's nothing…
If morality is the issue, then I agree, but I think most of the outspoken people against pirates have more of an issue with how it affects them, like DRM, creators not getting their due (thus no sequels), etc. It's a crime that's so far removed from our normal cognitive perception of a crime that I find it hard to…
Yesss. I love Undead Nightmare and the slightly campy way it allowed us to experience the characters in a completely different way.
Really? Let's say one day Best Buy inexplicably left a whole bunch of their products out in front of their store and didn't do a thing about it. Is it really hypocritical if you were to take a video game but look down on those that regularly shoplift and steal?
So many fat guys/girls. A fat guy/girl cosplaying a non-fat character in and of itself is not good cosplay. Why so many pictures of them?
Never said I didn't like this song. I'm all for people enjoying this song but it's led to that superficial appreciation of Korea that's characteristic of otakus.
It took extremely long? It hasn't been that long since the song came out.
Eh, I don't know if lucid erotic dreams is something you want. You know, your bodily responses will happen out of the dream too, including climaxing. Not a fan.
I can remember only very few lucid dreams, but one I had recently was the first and last time I've actually flown in a dream. Like, felt the wind in my hair, felt myself dropping before I'd shoot off. It was ridiculously exhilarating, jumping off of buildings and soaring through a city.
I mean, when the reason is that it causes people to spend more money and makes them less conscious about that fact, does there need to be any other motivation? Doesn't that reason speak for itself?
You don't understand why these things are done? Because it allows them to nickel and dime as much money out of you. You'll never get rid of that odd 60 MSP or that $0.99 without spending more.
Tell that to 95% of fat cosplayers.
Well, this is what you get when you have a runaway success from amateur game developers that copied a more well thought out game.
Fail, no giant penny.
"Then again if I were a raider I would be upset that the armor and weapons I've amassed since the previous expansion have been rendered all but useless yet again by new high-powered equipment."
Don't ask me. But that's how it works.
That describes Mount and Blade perfectly; both immensely frustrating and immensely fun.
