THIS is why the Fiesta ST is way more fun than anyone can really explain. The numbers don’t add up, but why then is my Lotus Elise collecting dust while the Fiesta is getting hammered on daily?

Lotus Elise’s are a mixed bag when it comes to feeling stable on the road. Our household owns two Elise’s. One of them feels literally glued to the road, with very heavy steering. The threads typically don’t protrude more than an inch into the filter. As long as you’re halfway down or lower you’re safe.

Former master tech eh? Anyways, the whole point of the screwdriver trick IS to tear through the filter...and yes it makes a mess, but it works when a filter wrench doesn’t fit or isn’t available and a strap wrench simply won’t fit. I know I’m just a lowly non-master technician, but I’ve done easily hundreds of oil…
