Haha this is funny because I’m an engineering manager and just bought a 2015 GMC Sierra.

Ford F-150 Cam Phaser. They all fail eventually.
This reminded me of a nightmare I had. Blech.
I miss my ‘86 Chevy G30 camper. It really was the perfect little RV...toilet and all. It had pop up roof as well. My mom sewed a sweet curtain set for it including privacy shade up front. Selling that van was probably the dumbest automotive move I’ve ever made. I think I got $2500 for it...the damn thing only had 89k…
I agree for the most part, but if somehow the balls could be suspended and propelled magnetically that would be a very low wear/friction situation. However this would take a tremendous amount of energy, which kind of defeats the point.
You mean a couple examples. However the technology in those articles simply is able to float extremely light and small objects (styrofoam balls). That’s extremely different than something that can “apply as much traction to the ground as rubber, even on slick surfaces and on water.”
Actually ball tires would be pretty easy to make functional, the hardest part would be keeping the ball/motor contact area clean. It would work in the reverse like an old PC mouse would.
It’s Dr. Strange actually.
Oh really? Please tell us more.
I was just thinking of the 1.5 PSI issue yesterday and how it’s unfortunate none of the political candidates have addressed it. In my humble opinion it’s the most important issue facing society today.
What!? I’ve gotta find this video.
That’s just the thrust focusing nozzle. It’s not as closed as the others for some reason.
Wow the most interesting thing to me is the ejection seat design! It appears that the seats convert into sealed pods either before, during or after ejection. I suppose this would be to protect the pilots in case of the need to eject at near or above supersonic speeds. Perhaps the pods act as miniature life boats as…
I’m going to be hated for disclosing this, but I know of a very nice, low mileage Porsche 911 Targa, grey-market, fully CA compliant that the owner is willing to sell me for $20k. I do in fact plan on buying it from him, but every time I get close to having the cash something comes up. As recent as 3 weeks ago I…
This is only the 2nd generation.
Slightly off-topic here, but this go me thinking about vehicle wraps. Isn’t wrap sort of the equivalent to wallpaper? I think so, and therefore there needs to be wallpaper texture/design vehicle wraps. I want to see a 60’s Chrysler with off-white, textured wallpaper and gold flecks.
Me thinks you’re barking up the wrong tree. This is Jalopnik.
