so basically we’re giving him props because he “passes” better than any trans-man out there? So what, are queer trans who don’t look as “manly” to be less valued by our society?Despite the intent here, this whole post is disgustingly trans-phobic and reminds me of all the “bro-site” posts where they post pics of…

GOD FORBID WE DO ANY SLUT SHAMING HERE:
as bizarre as this is, race-based quotas or plus factors in admission make no sense. They should be fully replaced by a class-based quota or plus factor
how about NOBODY call and harass business owners for choosing who they do business with
hold on man, you’re telling me you don’t want to blame the strict ratio requirements, a ridiculously imprecise instrument for determining equal treatment of the genders? When you have colleges making up women’s scholarship sports out of thin air or faking the numbers, then clearly there is something wrong with the law
Come on guys, it’s a secularized exercise with a tangential religious connection. No body in their right mind would challenge such a ... oh shit —- https://www.aclu.org/religion-belie…
Setting out a nominal payout today for something to be paid 40-50 years in the future makes no sense.
Well...If the Affordable Care Act has the desired effect then the new entrants and growth of the private insurance market should make it a legitimate option for elderly. If retired people have more wealth generally then smaller versions of those programs should be sufficient.
I was referring more so to our government wealth, not our nation's privately held wealth. As you've pointed out, there has been significant growth that has led to large increases in tax revenue. The question is where has that tax revenue gone? We could easily eliminate wasteful programs like Medicare Part D and…
Perhaps, but retirement is one of those modern luxuries of a wealthy country. If the USA becomes more rich, then we can have more money to provide for retirees. As it is now, baby boomers are bleeding us dry, which makes it damn near impossible to put up a legitimate safety net for the next generation's retirement
Definitely don't "need" college funds, but you can't have a society that provides a broad safety net for retirement and then still demand personal responsibility from citizens to save private funds for that. It's not a "need" because the government foots the bill
Short answer: No.
I think people are confusing the fact that RFRA is a defense with the belief that RFRA is a complete defense, game over. Once you show that it is a sincerely held religious belief, RFRA doesn’t just give you a pass out of the law. It just says that the court has to apply a balancing test. Here is the…

why the fuck knee pads???
Gun rights mean a lot to the community. When the KKK came after you, the state wasn't going to protect you. There's been a lot of literature on this, and good on Killer Mike for standing up for ALL our rights, not just the ones white liberals deem to be "good"

who could be butthurt about it? It's extraordinarily evenhanded in its treatment of the cop. If there's any butthurt it would be from those who just flat out hate cops and don't see them as people
Mariah Carey is biracial!?????
