If you save a back up beforehand you can re-upload it, but I am not sure if you need to save the back up before you are deleted or before you upload, so I do it before I upload.

yeah I was totally picturing that as part of it. Wind Waker just made me really think all games would do well from treating the gamepad as an always on multilayer menu, like lots of DS games had.
