Same here. I always park far away from other cars. When I come back to it, some rando is parked right next to me with tons of spaces free in every direction (and even dinged my car once!).

It’s much better to not ask. I’ve been told that this is extremely awkward for the interviewer. That and they usually won’t tell you out of fear of litigation.
