Age wise..if you're worried about Down Syndrome you have some time. It's really not until 35+ that it becomes a concern. (and even then, I've had several friends over 35 have a successful pregnancy/birth with a healthy child).
I've never been wait listed...but I'm still waiting to hear if I got into the Masters in Legal Studies...grrr. Waiting sucks.
I actually took a class in college that covered this (Prepping for Grad School). Besides giving us tips we also had to seek out a few faculty members to get their consensus on what they like.
I wouldn't worry about no response via texts in hours. s/he could be busy, you know?

I was able to keep the same rate at Comcast for 3 years. I just kept calling in every 6 months threatening to cancel, and they kept giving me the promotional rate.

The block party was banned this year. Instead of 500 arrests (last year) I think the news said it was only a handful this time.
