I felt the whole season 2 of Orphan Black was fan service providing new flashy customes for comic-con. I'm not as enthusiastic about season 3.

I was about to say that…but I think the biggest problem is that they didn't dare to kill Daniel during S1 and that season 2 (and The Initiative) happened.

My opinion after rewatching it is that Hiro was overrated and because of him and the Charlie crappy storyline we had to endure so many boring scenes.

I think it got better after the terrible season 2 (that was just a complete disaster. I couldn't make myself watching the whole thing) but you have to agree that it never quite got to season 1 level again.
What I would say it's that Susan should definitely have gone in earlier seasons.
