You go, pregnant voter! You go, pregnant voter’s fetus!

Yay! I’m so excited for her.

Even better--I bought hot chocolate melts at the bookstore today! Heat a cup of milk, add the melt, and end up with a rich, velvety cup of hot chocolate. Now I just need to buy some amaretto to really bring it home.

hey there! I missed y’all last night. Things have been...not great, mental health-wise. I had an anxiety attack on Sunday night of last week and got maybe four hours of sleep? Then I only slept four hours on Wednesday night as well, and I’ve felt my physical response to anxiety intensifying, along with my depression.

Ooh, that sounds delicious! Bartender is still earning his keep, I see!

I’m Marillenbaum. I’m a Leo and I like tea, manicures, and romance novels!

It will be okay! The first antidepressant I tried wasn’t a good fit for me, and it turned out that the second one worked much better. Now I’m in a phase where it (or, more likely, the dosage) isn’t helping like it used to, so I’ll change it around.

What the fuck?! That is so unequivocally NOT OKAY. I’m so, so sorry that that man has been such an unutterable cuntwaffle to you. You deserve far better than this. My song suggestion would be “Hell No” by Ingrid Michaelson--it’s catchy and fun and you get to shout during the chorus.

Seconding North Carolina! It’s pretty, the weather (especially inland) is chill, COL is doable, and it’s got some fun stuff to do (including national parks with the aforementioned rugged men!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

The Rat King is AMAZING and so much fun to watch! Mother Ginger is also supposed to be fun, but in a campy burlesque sort of way. I really love the original ballet (a decade of dance as a kid did nothing to dim my love for the piece), but this is just...weird and sad.

Thanks for pointing this out. It’s incredible, but not really surprising, how little anti-Roma prejudice seems to get called out even in otherwise progressive circles.

It was great! Doggo was dressed like a rocket, and her namesake (her mom’s BFF) was dressed as outer space. It was adorable. I drank far too many spritzers, and got late-night chili cheese fries, and I was good.

I adore the PopStyle OpinionFest! It’s a delight.

That’s fair. Sometimes, you just want to focus on the rest of the world and remind yourself that you’re a person outside of our nation’s rapid descent into fascism.

Tom and Lorenzo and Go Fug Yourself for celebrity fashion, The Billfold for personal finance.

Respect. I’m going to a friend’s tonight for a party, and I will have my Aperol spritzers and play with her dog.

Oh, darling. I’m so, so sorry. I hope there are people in your immediate area who are able to give you the care and support you so richly deserve.

Or maybe the one for the teens was a “soft” opening, and then there are actual nights with booze so they can, you know, make actual money? I hope. Honestly, I have no idea how anything on this show works, so I’m just trying to roll with it until it gets too dumb.

I also loved the blue and red scheme--with the crown, she looked like a wannabe Mary, Queen of Heaven. I was expecting to see an appliquéd heart set aflame on the dress.
