And Tyrion’s argument against Dany that murdering slavers as Dany being evil kind of raises some concerns about B&W’s Comfederates show.

This was lazy writing by Julianne. It’s been publicly stated by the creators that they made the decision for the reduced episode count, as you say. 

Brienne’s last moment in the whole show is her crying about how Jaime loved Cersei? Not turning the page and writing her own motherfucking name? “Ser Brienne of Tarth, first female Gold Cloak and Owner of Pod”. Fuck off with that shit D&D!!!!!

I think the tone shift can entirely be blamed on the decision to have the final two seasons be shortened. If we had proper 10 episode seasons each time, I’d bet most all the “issues” would have been ironed out
