This is the system. Half of these cars belong to cops or cop adjacent peoples. The other half belong to more or less serious criminals. The third half belongs to Contractors. So in either of these cases, he is trying to expose the shady activities of people who consider themselves fully above or outside the law.

He maybe shouldn’t be identifying himself in the process of identifying these ghosts cars, but otherwise I think he’s bring needed attention to something the city has let slide.

Also, how much more money does Sting need?

Apparently, in the original script, Toad asks a bunch of similar rhetorical questions during various confrontations in the film, so Storm’s line was meant to be a rejoinder to those. At some point they cut all those lines, though, thus removing all the context for Storm’s line and turning it into one of the worst

So first we hear that Cavill is out as Superman, then shortly thereafter we get the “Actually he’s become a real toxic presence on set, big GamerGate vibes from that guy, not fun to work with” news. Now, a few weeks after hearing that Dwayne’s not returning as Black Adam, we get this “Actually his ego is out of

I want to make a “This looks bad.” -Matt Fraction run on Hawkeye joke, but I wish the guy a safe and speedy recovery.

I think you misunderstand Cameron’s style. It’s more 1980s Trapper-Keeper art than 1970s van art.

Man but a lot of people seem passionate about telling everyone they can how they hate Avatar 2 so much that they will never watch it.

I’m honestly not sure any of these characters are compelling enough to revisit. The Tanya storyline in season 2 didn’t do much to convince me that keeping a holdover from a previous season is a good idea. Her plot was thin at best and in a lot of ways cheapened a character that had a decent arc in the first season.

I was right there with you in that guess for Season 3, until they showed the family photo and Dern was nowhere in it.

Personally was disappointed by this episode. So much of what happened feels hollow in retrospect based on the outcomes. Cameron ultimately was a nothing-character. The show hinted that he may have financial problems or something nefarious in mind. But nope, he’s just a d-bag to such a degree that it’s amazing that

His presence was pretty fun and I liked the sort of absurdist bordering on annoying comic energy he brought to the show (him and Noel obviously having a great time together), but this is a sweet show for softies and his whole vibe clashed with that a lot, so it’s probably best he mosey on.

I was on a jury for a sexual assault trial once and it ended up in a hung jury. A couple of the people who were against convicting him were legit morons, but a couple of them had truly considered all the evidence and didn't think the case was proven beyond a reasonable doubt, even though they thought he was most

These decades-later sequels do nothing for my nostalgia other than remind me of the inevitable creep of time, and thus end up more depressing than enjoyable

Yeah I don’t like villain Reed or just super asshole Reed. But I do like my Reed to be so in his own world so much that he fucks up his relationships with his family. Less “I’m designing a device that could destroy the universe but don’t care because SCIENCE is my religion and everyone else are just ants to me” and

Any time I hear or read anything out of her I feel like I’m having a stroke.

The state sanctioned murder of this innocent young man was without hyperbole a nightmare straight out of Orwell.

Weirdly, I feel a bit bad for Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe. I am sure they looked up to Rickman, especially as brand new actors. To hear after the fact that he thought they were kind of shit has to be a little deflating.

vast vast power imbalance happening here

As someone who hasn’t read the source material and trying to stay away from spoilers if I can, I can’t help but notice that the show is coming across like it’s a little too beholden to the book. At least, that’s how I’m trying justify how the show is moving at a breakneck speed at the slowest pace possible. It’s
