House of the Dragon is such a joyless, unoriginal re-done slog compared to not only RoP, but also the first GoT, that I’m having a hard time putting it in the same class as the latter at this point. I’d put RoP at the moment as an overwhelming winner. I say that as a fan of GoT and a hater of the Hobbit.

.

Big fan of the series, definitely loved the 1st two episodes more than this one for overall flow. The writing was clunky, tried to hard, a bit too stock and didn’t really pop for me, subjectively.  TOO much sitcom, a few too many 4th-walls.

I actually assumed that was a great sarcastic response; because as brilliant as at least the former was, very few people know or care.

Everyone whines about VW repairs and german cars, I’m on my third VW without any issues at all. I guess the data shows I’m lucky, but it’s hard to wonder if people don’t just love to complain.

I get this, but for me the Bombadil sections of the books were THE WORST.  Flame on and all, but I’m definitely anti-Bombadil.

I read the books and loved the movies.

I just wanted to comment that “Round and Round” was just such a great 1990 tune on Graffiti Bridge, and I have always kept track of Campbell for this reason.

Is it a defense or a self-indictment that I had no idea while viewing that she was Asian?

Could the creepy-faced pirates have a connection to the Faceless Men, the visage-stealing assassins’ guild from Game Of Thrones whose HQ is located in the Free City of Braavos?

I could be wrong, but “a whole lot” might be able to be re-written there as “at least some”.

Which is completely fair.

Seems a lot more like an economic argument to me.

Jezebel ain’t always right, but the parade of misogynist boys here lately is entirely wrong.

This can be true and still have her be atypical enough to give it a go.

I read this question as “deserved better from the car company that designed it” and my immediate answer was the shitstain of the Honda CRZ.

This was definitely a very frustrating episode, highlighted by a conversation between a person talking A LOT and a deaf person who admitted they are a 33% lip reader - while HE’S DRIVING. (Honestly, why were they even required by the story to be driving at all? Take the Q or an uber.)

This 1000% supports my initial impression, an executive pissing in a circle and marking his territory.

I will never, ever understand the attraction of white cars.
