I really miss the dark, moody look Disney hinted at in that very first concept image. It would have been a brave move for them to go down that path, but it would have paid off.

Absolutely the coolest footage I have seen for a long time, great sequence.

@imercenary: The pic? Yup! I was trying to find the screen that appeared during attract mode on the unit at my local bowling alley, it said something different, pretty sure it included an anti-drug message of sorts. I'm certain that's what they mean about 'staying straight'.

@OtakuMan24: Digging up that image actually sent me off on a pretty long tangent. To summarise, the blonde on the left is Kerry Hoskins of Mortal Kombat 3 fame (Sonya Blade) who featured in NBA Jam as a cheerleader and secret playable character.

I remember finding this in Pikmin 2, apparently with a few modifications it can be reconfigured to search for treasure!

@Paradox me: That's true, but Nintendo specialise in overly short controller cords, even the Gamecube has crippled controller length.

I also feel sorry for NTSC players, not sure why the US got a SNES modeled so closely after the NES. Sorry guys!

@Tiller: YES! EXACTLY! Reminds me of StarFox!

Does this count as Kotaku product placement?

A keyboard with just five keys? Interesting!

Nice work Eidos/CD, and way to finally refresh a tired license. Love the Torchlight-esque isometric camera angle, should make the combat heaps of fun, and teamwork is very interesting.

I work with this guy, he's a legend. Such fun to see his work come together.

That's outstanding, it'd be great if the results of efforts such as this could be used to help other sight impaired gamers enjoy games.
