While I disagree, I will say that the seats in a Mercedes ML are some of the least comfortable seats known to man. I have no fucking idea why they’re designed that way, but the bench seats in my family’s 1970s-generation Hilux were more comfortable than those.

Thought so. I’ve sat in a last-gen M5 and it felt straight-up violent. Much faster than the rated times.

I don’t know about BMW and Mercedes, but Audi underrate their 0-60 times massively.

It doesn’t surprise me that the Audi A4 is a full second quicker to 60; the thing feels even faster. The torque from the current-generation 2.0T motor is absolutely monstrous.

It’s depressing because that’s exactly what Audi’s naming scheme is right now.

Audi’s interiors are phenomenal lately. Simple, clean, and entirely built out of smooth leather, beautiful plastics and a crap-ton of burnished aluminium. Exactly what a luxury interior should feel like.

If they’ve got, say, 650HP and AWD, they’re going to be in the same ballpark as the current-generation Audi RS7 Performance. Probably with slightly better weight distribution (although not by much - the RS7's weight distribution is pretty damn good, mostly because the ultra-short-block engine is squeezed up against

This is actually amazing.

Agreed. I think that goes for all prototype cars, though. I can’t wait until they get rid of it.

Damn, that’s right! I knew I’d seen it somewhere around Melbourne. Thanks!

Any idea what the poster is about? That’s a Victorian state government logo on it.

Can we please see Lamborghini do an LM003? Some kind of massive, bulky-as-fuck SUV with serious off-roading chops, massively comfortable interior and the V12 out of an Aventador.

It’ll make them tilt forward while they fall. A car that lands flat on its wheels is going to be annihilated; a car that lands front-first will be much, much better off in the event of a fall.

Displaced patellar fracture is definitely up there.

TFW even the author of the article misses your joke

Also, a lot of engines have seals that will degrade with cheaper oil. I know that Audi motors from about 1990 onwards require either fully-synthetic oil, or one of a very small number of semi-synthetic oils (like Castrol Magnatec) to avoid degrading the hell out of their engine seals.

I believe this was actually an art installation.

This. My guess would be an Audi RS7 or something with the default 155mph speed limiter.

Damn, this thing is still sexy today. There’s something downright menacing about it. Much better looking than either the SLR or SLS, in my opinion.
