This is very interesting. I’d like to see how an AWD Challenger SRT matches up against other 600+ HP AWD rivals, like the Audi RS7 and the just-unveiled E63 AMG. It’ll also be interesting to see whether it has electronic AWD determining torque allocation (per the 4MATIC system and Godzilla) or a mechanical centre

You are all of us, today.

I can’t speak for this car, but I know that Audi used a ZF 8-speed torque converter for their RS6/7 because they didn’t have a dual-clutch which was good for >600 ft/lb of torque.

Nah, it’s all about the A4/Jetta/C-Class/3-Series size dynamic. The A6 is too big a luxury car for most utility, I find.

And still only ~15 seconds faster than the RS7, a full-size, ultra-comfortable luxury sedan which looks no different to any stock Audi and can easily be daily driven. Now that’s a real achievement in engineering. This is just a track toy and garage queen.

Really, amazing Pokemon, everyone’s saying. The best Pokemon anywhere, that’s what I hear people are saying, I’m not saying but people, really important people are. The biggest, best, most luxurious Pokemon around. Crooked Lying Oak is trying to get you to pick other Pokemon, but mine are the best, really, all the

Well, aren’t we feeling edgy this morning?

Early 2000s is a little better. 1.8T is a solid engine. Never trust a VAG engine with lineage dating before B5, though.

Holy fuck, that engine was unreliable. My parents had it in their first-gen Allroad. Absolute disaster of a car.

Oh, I understand now. Fair enough - I’ve definitely brought my car up to outrageously illegal speeds, and I can honestly say that I’d never do it again.

Anyone know what the song is? :)

Wait, 200 is a lot? My first and current car, a 2003 A4 Quattro, has about 180 going through an AWD system and while the thing ain’t slow, it’s also by no means quick in a straight line.

The hell engine is that? Some kind of naval diesel motor?

I can’t wait to see what they do with the next generation of RS-series cars. P100d-fighter? Twin-turbo V8/hybrid monstrosity? I have no idea where they’ll go, but it’ll be good!

Waiting for the flood of idiotic ‘Jalopnik is stealing other people’s content for clicks!’ comments...

CP. Drop it a grand, and I’d be there; but $4,000 for a 1980 Prelude is just a little too rich for my blood, rock-solid or no. I could - and did - buy a 2003 A4 Quattro for that.

When you’re getting down to those sorts of numbers, half a second is massive. It’s the difference between a LaFerrari - one of the half-dozen most advanced hypercars ever built - and an RS7, which is a two-tonne luxury sedan (albeit a stupidly fast one).

This... is, y’know, an F1 car. For the road, admittedly, and hence detuned, but we’re talking 2-second 0-100s on this thing.

Unmarked Commodores have been in vogue in Australia for a long time for police use. Whenever I see a newish Commodore, I tend to slow down, just a little bit.

Actually, I found it pretty damn funny.
