Prevailing fan theory online is that Hook is just playing Emma b/c he wants her to kill him, and thus end all darkness or something when he goes to Hades. Like, he's not really dark, they're still in love, happy endings, etc. Just… food for thought.

How can she even really be a Dark One? She's just regular Emma, but in different clothes, pretty much.

My favorite line out of that was about how he would have given Gold's wife back "soiled, but alive." That's one of the show's only brushes w/ real dirtiness that I can even remember—or maybe I just have a dirty mind.

I actually agree w/ that. Some good stuff going on w/ this season. I just wasn't into this ep.

I always feel like they have to say that because Emilie De Ravin gets such high billing. Must be contractual.

I imagine they're worried if they show her doing truly terrible things that when she turns back (which she will…) the audience will be pissed at her. Long shot, but you know.
