Well, you know. If her suit wasn't in such a bad state she wouldn't even have needed to be saved by low-battery. The Doctor wouldn't even be blind. And he wouldn't have left her if he didn't know she would be fine by the end of it.

He didn't do anything to it. He just says he noticed it was low on battery and thus didn't have enough energy.
