Any of those things can be true but the fall may not have happened yet, anyway. They are not out of Trenzalore yet. Hell, they're not even out of the Doctor's timeline!

@avclub-ea93d61158b479315c8e0d4cd003ec35:disqus But the answer is not even "She just does". Was no-one paying attention? (seriously). She *entered his timeline*, she necessarily *will* exist to meet the Doctor in every point of his history, or at least any point possible for some wibbly reason (any point were it's

No, the Doctor has been erasing himself from history ever since he became so well known that people started to fear him; when he says "time to step back into the shadows" in The Wedding of River Song that is what he meant. Also, the woman who is the bait for the Doctor on Asylum mentions something about

And then he was the Emperor.

I Thought it obviously linked to the second, but well… pity.

@Scrawler2:disqus Out of curiosity (because I by no means think the show is perfect or everything is always explained), like what? I can't come up with anything.

The Slitheen? Adam? Love and Monsters?? Fear Her? Daleks in Manhattan? The Doctor floating like a fairy?

Question: wasn't this episode supposed to have references to the sixth Doctor? Did anyone spot any?

Oh, the Slitheen. Those were the days, eh? The whole of the first four series are kind of a haze to me, because I must've watched them in roughly two weeks, and I was so incredibly addicted to the show (probably still am, but less madly so) that every episode just seemed perfect, each one better than the last. @avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus  I have my reservations on the revealing of his name, but again, I would trust Moffat with it more than anyone else. I'm still not expecting them to reveal it though, just sort of making the episode around it without really saying. But I agree, there's no way the episode

@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus  Haha, those were really good. Mmm.. Some good ones I could find:

@avclub-1922cc1dc1286b56a2d99b7f1aa0630c:disqus  I'll say.. better safe than sorry? There wasn't any threat at the moment and then they sort of got kidnapped. And it's the Doctor, I'm sure he never takes the time to do the sensible thing when he gets interested. And he's absent-minded and probably got used to Clara

@avclub-33807fbc68d335db8080d3c10cb78822:disqus  I've watched all of the important episodes of both series twice at least, mainly all Moffat-written ones, because I like his writing but also because episodes like those tend to get better and better with each view. I like complicated things, but I have to say I didn't

I used to watch it with my sister too but we put it on hold for a while.

Even if he has missed the details, and I can agree on that, I think his answers to the mysteries of the previous seasons have been creative and that's all I'm really asking for. Also, he always makes what happened in previous episodes coherent to the explanation, the most obvious examples being The Eleventh Hour and

Oh, I like his general costumes this season as they show how he has changed post-Amy. The purple tweed is better than the previous one if you ask me, simply because I never really liked it. It was too much after leather jacket and suit (though never as much as 6's, that was simply terrifying).

I agree about the last bits. I have a friend who is just starting from 2005 and we sometimes get together to watch episodes, whenever I see Tennant I like him but he makes me grateful for having Smith now. Eccleston makes me cringe sometimes, and I don't know why.

Apparently there was a scene explaining the Doctor doesn't like kids unsupervised in the TARDIS. It makes sense if you ask me, they would obviously start touching everything and that can never be good.

Agreed on the last point. :D

I didn't mind the children, or anything else some say was wrong with the episode. Also, by this stage I have learned not to think too much about anything Clara does as I trust Moffat will explain it eventually. I really liked this episode and the reasons can be summed to this: by now I have developed a
