Different cultures. Some of the video gaming community were exposed to intense bullying at some point in their life. Especially older gamers who were growing up in a time when video games were less culturally accepted.
This is the most relevant comment I’ve seen about this guy. I disagree with people saying everyone should be super polite in what is really a hugely orchestrated spectacle. The role of heel has a place in every highly competitive, highly invested in, and highly produced scene.
Whoa, projecting much?
That was actually my initial thought. But I went with mapma after noticing that substituting the g with the p acted as a sort of visual simile.
Sorry but the OG Johnny Cage still wins here.
No, because that brutality is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. It deserves to be OP for engendering such mirth.
“Map of Magma”
It sounds like you want a completely different show. Last Man on Earth is ultimately a character study of Phil Miller. The post apocalyptic setting is simply a tool to highlight the inherent contradiction of misanthropy.
I agree that his sense of whimsy is one of his better qualities, and it’s certainly fun to watch.
But, lying dick Phil is Phil being himself. It’s an integral part of him. After two whole years of social isolation and total freedom it’s also the strongest part of his personality.
I’m not sure you’re supposed to feel sympathy for Phil. While the show has other characters, the central conflict is man vs. himself.
A decent Kenshi is a damn nightmare.
As you say, most of these Scorpions aren’t very good. So it’s rare you actually get to test yourself against a decent Scorpion.
What? I went to art college and all I got was some vague warnings about power tools and access to a first aid kit with decade old bandaids.
Kinda sad I had to scroll this far (admittedly, a number of these replies are long screeds) to find this nugget of truth.
I concur. While the loss of his parents may be the starting point for his super hero career, he has been through so much that has shaped and defined him as Batman in the subsequent years it’s hard to imagine any other response to meeting alternate dimension daddy than reserved analysis.
I was just thinking how I want to climb a cliff face, jump on top of this thing, then stab it in the back a few times till it topples over.
I’d read this so hard.
Ha, yeah that’s what the guy said, I guess that means the brain isn’t a vital organ.
