This is the second piece I've read on the AV Club in a short time where multiple people with different specialties (but working in the same area) were interviewed for one article, and I really love this approach. It can give different perspectives to a subject without seeking out people who have to disagree with each…
Upvoted for teaching me something new. I would have thought a sex wedge is one of many complaints that can develop in long-term relationships over time that Dan Savage would recommend hiring sex worker for, when in fact a five-star Amazon review tells me it's quite the opposite:
"Gives just the right amount of lift…
They should get a full refund from Feldman. The there is clearly at least one brunette on stage.
I dunno, depends on the neighborhood.
So I persuaded my sister not to post her short story about Harry Potter being introduced to BDSM by Snape under her full given name for no reason?
I don't own any board games or anything, so what else was there to do?
Unless I go out of my way to find someone who'd be unfaithful to me, I guess I'll have to stick to guys who wrap it up for now (which is what I'm doing anyway because of a visceral fear of pregnancy and bad experiences with birth control pills). Maybe my bullshit detector's so bad (and I know it's pretty bad) that…
Until Lyrica is approved for anxiety in the US, this man is unlikely to encounter his Kryptonite. So at least he's got that going for him.
Is Swedish House Sensation that absurdist if your heard of Swedish House Mafia?
(Although if the writer was just starting to watch this show, I wouldn't want to take away one of the few things that made it bearable).
One can only hope that this show will play a part in sowing seeds for the revolution in the minds of…
It would be great as a one-shot thing in a magazine or something for this kind of theme, but it's Monday and they've already posted something like five articles that use the image.
This is as good place to ask: Does the AV Club always insists that the artists who do the theme week banner illustrations (or whatever they're called), cram as many different references into them as possible, for as small a fee/little time as possible? Maybe if they'd stuck to something less complicated the artist…
You say "can't", I say "probably shouldn't, but honestly a lot of the time don't care that much about whether some individual comment is read by anyone or not and sometimes don't pay attention to timestamps." Although it would probably be a good idea for me to look into other ways of accessing the site than the main…
I know, much like I have to live with knowing that Mohd has a higher upvote ratio than I do.
Hey, some of us just happen to live in different time zones!
I think ironic racism and sincere racism aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. Everyone has learned that "racism is bad" and "don't say the n-word", often before they learn why these things are wrong, and for some those things have become almost a part of having good manners and nothing more.
If their response to this doesn't get better, it might also help to contact various websites that use Disqus about this. Also I'm sure there's someone here who could write a good open letter-type comment for Discuss Disqus, which could be linked to when mentioning this, and watch the upvotes roll in.
You say that like every other band in the 80's wasn't known for wearing something that could only be explained by them having passed out in their garden shed the night before.
Devo is much less well known in the Europe than the US, which means that when one of Simon Cowell's hellish creations, the "classical-crossover" group Il Divo was being heavily promoted, I had to clarify to a few people that I wasn't into the operatic boy band in the dark suits, but this one new wave band sporting…
I have the same birthday as Kim Kardashian. One idea I have that I know I'll never get around to doing is following her doings on Instagram and writing monthly reviews examining how our horoscope readings came true from both of our perspectives.
