Wow, it does work for me on this article. It’s literally never worked for me anywhere else since the switch. I wonder what’s different? Man, I’m just going to keep talking while I can...

Hey, ditto about the work computer. And the patterns I’ve noticed for it working have been totally nonsense...it always works when there’s a “staff” section of the comments, and on certain features, but not all, and never newswire. I wonder what the deal is.

Like all King adaptations I’ve been largely skeptical that it will be any good, but man all of the advanced word-of-mouth (not to mention the incredible trailers) has been so good I’m genuinely starting to get my hopes up. And that’s how they get you.

Smoothing out the chronology this way means each film can have its big climax, I suppose. Not like that.

Call me pernickety if you like, but the ! after Mother puts me off. Seems silly.

NieR is a compact, lean RPG with Platinum mechanics. Expect adventure but don’t expect an epic journey taking in many locales (though the ones you get are stupendous). It’s my best game of the year so far, in a year filled with incredible games

Point of order: in this rendition of It, the kids encounter the cosmic horror in the deceptively idyllic Maine of 1989, not the 50s. Presumably they’re adults in modern times.

Yes? It’s a Platinum game in the vein of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, so combat is mostly hack-and-slash, but there are some RPG elements in determining character progression and customization.

I can’t wait for the sequel, 2t.

Fair point - but he’s also continuing the fine Game of Thrones tradition of being epically shit at making alliances and keeping them, let along thinking through the consequences of his actions. Like many others, I don’t believe for a moment Daenerys will just shrug her shoulders and defer to her nephew-lover’s

Seriously. She’s the Steward of Winterfell. Jon has no obligation to consult with her beforehand. But honestly Jon probably wouldn’t mind turning over leadership responsibilities. He’s proven repeatedly that he’s kinda trash as an administrator.

Fine, but it doesn’t really explain why Arya would suddenly feel all murdery with her sister, and start talking about taking her place to wear her pretty dresses—something she explicitly has been shown not to care about.

How can he fly with giant holes in his wings?

So you have a problem with the zombie dragon breathing fire after damage to its imaginary fire glands, but you don’t have a problem with skeleton zombies being able to move without any muscles?

Dumb as hell: Arya and Sansa going from being at each other’s throats last week to being in cahoots against Littlefinger this week with no explanation. It was dramatic, sure, and that’s what B&B were going for, but they could’ve included even the faintest of explanations during Sansa and Arya’s scene together

I thought it was relatively clear they survived - moreso than when Jaime sank into the Reach earlier in the season, in fact. They were running with a bunch of the wildlings behind them as the wall collapsed... then it stopped with only them standing on the part of the Wall that still stood.

Jon didn’t even ask Brienne about his sister or the north...Brienne could’ve told him about Arya.

If anyone picks Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64, we will have words.

Good morning folks! It looks like a lot of you made the trip unscathed! Though, the comment count isn’t quite so high as it usually is this long after WAYPTW goes up, so I hope people are still finding their way home.

I’m back, Disqus or not! You can’t spell Kinja without four of the letters in Jakeoti!
