For those unaware, this is the guy who designed it:

I believe A50 was used by certain flavors of Celica, as some sort of facelift that the A40 Celica got but the A40 Supra didn’t.

The ‘90’ is significant because the production code names for the supra generations thus far have been A40, A60, A70, and A80. So, a mk V supra would almost certainly have the code A90.

My first car was green! It really stood out.

darn, looks like I missed it :(

I have a personal list of cars I’d convert to RWD if I had the time and money, including the scirocco, first gen mx-6, prelude, and del sol. There are a great number of sporty coupes out there which have been cursed with an inability to go sideways. Got any you’d like to see?

I hope it’s just good enough that no articles pop up about how great the old ones were in comparison, that way the mk2 supras stay cheap and plentiful in time for me to get one in good condition.

If big businesses are dropping the NRA, does that mean republicans in congress are soon to follow???

COTD right here, or, as they say, commentaire du jour.

Postmortem: I’ve missed every single one of these over the last two years. Someday!

If only there were a government agency that could prevent the development of toxic environments... Oh wait.

I deadass read that title as “underwater pornography” and was SEVERELY disappointed.

My poor, sweet summer child

Mitsubishi Delica Star Wagon, in white space shuttle livery. And I’d paint the bottom half rust red for authenticity.

We need more factory chameleon paint, like GM’s Mystic Teal Metallic from way back when:

imagine that system catastrophically degrading as the car aged

The LCD concept won’t work unless it tracks your eyes, because the sun is hitting the entire windshield effectively equally, so your proposed system would turn the whole windshield black immediately.

I completely agree. As the owner of a mystic teal 98 firebird, I’m afraid of eventually having to switch to a more boring color.

I’m looking for a Celica Supra myself, so keep that on the down low. I don’t want them spiking in popularity until AFTER I buy one!
