The part where she's using "dicks" as a dividing factor between men and women.
The part where she's using "dicks" as a dividing factor between men and women.
She's also paid more than MOC in her field. Her line about "people with dicks" also seems unaware that women can have dicks. She's the embodiment of white feminism.
Wafflicious doesn't seem like someone capable of thinking for himself. Don't waste your energy.
Please continue to police "the point" everyone is required to pay attention to. You're doing good work.
Nothing opens everyone's eyes to the injustices of the world like one-percenters writing essays complaining that they aren't getting paid enough.
Note: I compared sensitivity to evolution. I'm not bashing Millennials.
Yup. The great hope was that the Internet would open up all sorts of alternative voices. Instead, it's limited them. Everyone wants to prove that they're counter-cultural while also having their views validated through consensus.
Anyone can agree she did something stupid. It isn't the point, and shouldn't be a litmus for empathy.
I understand what you're saying, but culturally, we're becoming a lot thinner-skinned, and I don't see this going away (compare Millenials to your grandparents' generation). So it's possible that evolution is what's making us more sensitive, and we can't demand the dismantling of the patriarchy while also asking…
There's an illusion that you have to be on it to stay relevant. I'm at a weird place with it where I'll tweet without reading anything anyone else tweets. Because fuck Twitter.
I'd go further… most of the self-identified left IS rightwing. They've adopted the right's shaming and dehumanizing tactics, and have no actual vision of unity. I think there are a number of factors that have led to this, but it's hard to completely pinpoint. Twitter has exposed how many of us are quick to become…
It's more that people think they're required to like an Amy Schumer episode, or they'll become internet pariahs.
I thought last week's Miley Cyrus episode was underrated (both in the sketches and musical performances), but I'm in agreement here. The writing is just dismal. I expected more from Schumer, but even the episode's reaches for news headline topicality felt really strained.
You don't know that he is more concerned with that. And for a lot of black people, The Cosby Show was a really important part of pop culture history.
The reviewer seems to get the show quite well. She just sees through it.
The weird thing is the Twitter crowd is praising it. I think Murphy is exploiting young Tumblr feminists. It's a corrupt scene politically and philosophically that he knew would get him applause from people he doesn't deem very bright.
Ryan Murphy doesn't have any ideas. I agree that he has a lot of inspirations.
Thank you for pointing out the hypocrisy of that "feminism" scene! Ryan Murphy is trying to hide his hatred of women, but just can't.
I realize this show thinks stereotypes are hilarious, but it's incredible that anyone thought the dialogue and direction given to Keke Palmer and the other black actress (portraying them both as sassy ghettoized drag queens) was at all acceptable.
This album perfectly enraptures the listener in a "this is boring but pleasant" mood for its 42 minutes. Carly Rae Jepsen still has the pop album of the year.
