I think it was reported on here that they went to Sony and Microsoft first and neither of them were interested.

Also, thought you would like this. A primary school teacher friend of mine recently made this for his class:

That's all true if they are aware of what Destiny is. That would be pretty cool, and a nice starting point for a sermon. If they aren't aware though, then it's embarrassingly, shamefully out of touch (to use it in that context, not that they would know it at all).

Well you had to go and ruin it by saying you had respect for Christianity at the end. I was with you till then...

Note to potential haters: I said Christianity, not Christians.

Well they went around begging people for money to develop and Nintendo were only ones who would give them the time of day. If they had the money to self publish they would have done so, and it's not like these poor sales mean they now have that sort of money. Not to mention it won't be allowed in the clauses of

Not heard this album (or band even) before. Sound really promising. Thanks for the inadvertent recommendation!

Curious where you work that they would have a 1920's record player in the storehouse? Just because my gf works at a museum and is rooting about in their storehouse today.

I want to set fire to his stupid jacket, using his napkin as a wick.

So you are buying it for the perceived lifestyle rather than the music?

I support your smugness. Well done, seriously! It's healthy!

I think a lot of people are like that about one direction. It's just one of those situations where popularity snowballs beyond all reason.

You aren't going to get anyone around here agreeing that men want to look after women and women can take advantage of it. I take your point though. :) That's why we are grey!

Very balanced and well explained to your (then) children. Do you remember what their reaction was? I am curious what they would make of your reasoning.

Hey, I also love Invader Zim, and thought I should suggest that you might also like Sergeant Frog It is basically the same thing (incompetent alien wants to take over the world but ends up helping more than being an actual threat) but the Japanese take. It's really funny, though less of an acerbic wit I guess.

Sounds like you may be unintentionally forcing gender normalisation on him! If he wan't to associate with Pocahontas, let him!

Disney is full of awful stereotypes anyway, best children keep away from it.

Even the generic form is a bullshit argument though. You don't need to have direct experience of something to have an opinion on it. You don't need to be an artist to decide if you like a particular piece of art for example.

Hell, sometimes an opinion can even have MORE merit by being outside of the sphere it refers to

It's just not trolling either. You can't troll a script. Trolling is about getting an emotional reaction about their victim. I think a writer should at least understand the terms they are using.

It's not a belief system if they don't have the same beliefs. So if people read the same texts but come to differing but unmovable opinions, it's a flawed text/belief system.

That was actually the key point that made me realise religion was bullshit when I was around 7 in my highly Christian school. I couldn't understand Jesus talking to God in the bible. They are supposed to be the same person, so how does that make ANY sense? Not looked back since!
