The data is totally suspect. Apart from the reasons you listed, I seriously doubt that 9 states are split exactly 50/50 between PS4 and XB1. They need to state what classes as a "tie". It could be a difference of 2 or 2 billion.

Let's set the goal as the percentage of female gamers. Elsewhere in this thread it is quoted at 20%. We are nowhere near that right now.
