Ever since doing a Twin Peaks marathon some years ago, I’ve noticed some parallels between the Earthbound games and Twin Peaks.

Weirdly, Battletech is very relaxing to me. Battletech+a podcast+wine is my favorite way to unwind. XCom used to be the same way.

continues to work on new games in franchises like Diablo and Overwatch

So, uh, yeah, a lot of this is scary, but can I just bring up one thing?

It all well and good to pay attention to what the general the industry, to want to become faster pace and produce more money. What we have to realize is both the employees and fans of the company expect Blizzard to be a slower development to produce high quality games (in line with Rockstar, CDprojekt). Take a cue

Blizz was still VERY profitable during the 10+ years of developmental on SC2 and D3. Their old titles, and WoW subscriptions, were still charting a decade after their releases. They were, WERE, a quality-focused studio that obsessively tended to their games.

I don’t know if I’ll ever love another video game horse as much as I loved Snickers.

I love the guy, every time I see his picture posted on a story on one of the Giz sites, I invariably think to myself “Goddamn I’m aging well.” It’s a hollow high, sure, but you have to take your victories where you find them.

Michael Rapaport is 48 looks 63 and acts 16. If you keep literally every aspect of him exactly the same there’s hotter men every place anywhere.

I think the series is starting to cohere into what it’s always wanted to be: super-dense historical fantasy.

I’ll be honest, I’d be much more frustrated with Smash’s unlocks if one of the earlier characters unlocked in the Adventure mode wasn’t Marth. He’s just exactly my style (and apparently one of the top-tier fighters right now?), so it’s not frustrating me so much... but I’m nowhere close to having half the characters

Been playing Smash since the 64 days, and quite honestly, I buy the game out of nostalgia and obligation more than the original reason - I want to play Smash with my high school friends (who no longer live in my state and rarely play video games).

I’m enjoying the grind of unlocking them. I do like that they hid a spot in the menu to re-challenge unlockables you lost to- so you don’t have to wait forever for them to come back up again. Its a nice balance of going in and playing and unlocking a few, then going back to the menu item and re-challenge those i lost

I’m enjoying World of Light, but Subspace Emmisary from Brawl was far more compelling. Brawl might still be my favorite Smash Bros just because of that mode, but Ultimate does feel better to control, and that and the enormous roster does make that choice hard.

I don’t think Kirk will be *too* embarrassed if I share here what I emailed to the staff:

Right?

I like Nolan, so I assume this is sarcasm. Surely he realizes that this spike in teen vaping almost erases the progress we made to cut smoking during the 1990s and 2000s. We had smoking on the decline - bound to exist only in history books - only to have it come roaring back in the form of electronic vaporizers and

Except vapers are worse than smokers, because the fucking smug “well it’s not like I’m smoking” fuckery sees them just pump giant clouds of this stinking vapour all over the fucking place. I don’t want to walk down the street and be covered in this scent of lung and nicotine juice that lingers for minutes and can
