The more we hear about how cops get away with murder, the more these people feel like they’ll get away with having them act as on-call assassination squads.

False: We actually have laws for incidents involving one person convincing another person to commit murder. It’s still murder. Fuck off.

I’m so sick of hearing about the police murdering compliant people in total absence of wrongdoing. I’m even sicker of the fact that they get away with it.

The reason the police officer was there does not excuse the fact that he shot an innocent person.

Yup, in a nutshell. I’m really surprised it hasn’t been standard response to swatting to charge people with attempted murder, but I guess so long as the cops themselves aren’t being put in danger, police and prosecutors couldn’t be bothered. Maybe this will get the ball rolling for serious charges for anyone…

Sooner or later Swatting was gonna get somebody or a -lot- of somebodies killed, so the fact that it took this long is amazing and sad all at the same time. I hope whatever DA takes this case once they find the parties behind it charges them appropriately and the judge throws the book at said parties.
