I spent years pronouncing it correctly (as I do with Linux) and eventually gave up because everyone around me kept 'correcting' me.
I'm sorry, but as a fellow Canadian I have to point out that both are correct.
Worth noting that while technically incorrect, there is sometimes an 'n' used: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/restaurat…
The first one is French, so that's your issue there. The third I can't imagine any other way to pronounce it ... "Qu" sounds like pronouncing the letter 'K' on its own ... the "eue" adds the "ew" sound.
He didn't say the same thing about MGS4 at all, he's said it a few times about this release though. Might want to go back and check ...
Someone should write a lifehacker entry on not burning out and becoming depressed, then they can link to this article as a tale of woe.
I strongly disagree for most areas I'm aware of where housing costs less per month in a mortgage than does rent. Unless you've got a line on free rent, buying a house makes a lot of sense as soon as you can afford it because paying $1000/mo into an asset is better than spending $1000/mo on rent (where the price is…
A mortgage is a debt you can cancel by selling the house. Most consumer debts cannot be reclaimed so easily. As a result, houses are typically considered 'good' debts because they usually appreciate in value.
i care about the announcements, not the event. I couldn't care less when or were companies make their press releases.
The good news for PlayStation owners and PS Plus subscribers is that they're guaranteed two new titles on each of the consoles rather than one, which is what they had before. The bad news is that the stricter time window will limit access to Sony's Instant Game Collection in a way that it didn't before.
If you can't defend your argument from every angle, you don't have one. Not allowing a devil's advocate in an argument is proof that your side is wrong. You should be able to respond to any and all viewpoints to defend your own. It is not a cop-out, and *no* subject is immune to rebuttal.
I implied nothing. White man should be allowed to walk through gang territory and not get hurt. However, its a bad idea. Woman should be allowed to wear whatever she wants and not be afraid, but its a bad idea. Totally rational. I'm sick of hearing the same asinine response back that I'm blaming the victim — I'm…
100% here would make the neighbours four doors down call the cops.
Wait, its awesome but not fantastic? Can you explain your ratings system? :)
Its worth pointing out in many smaller cities, there are very few co-ed gyms and a lot of women's only gyms in much more convenient locations. This has annoyed me too — why not just have women's only rooms at gyms? Dividing walls in between equipment maybe? Its not that hard to add privacy to a gym — they just…
Devil's Advocate here: if a white guy gets shot in a non-white gang neighbourhood, the cops and everyone else will say "what the hell was he doing there." It is perfectly reasonable (within limits) to expect people to behave wisely, even if it isn't their preference.
When I discovered that I could pause, change volume and skip tracks in Music Unlimited by holding down the PS button, it made my life a lot easier ... no need to jump back over to the app at all; just do it from the PS button's pause screen.
The horizontal alignment of game and app icons is easy to read even with more than 20 now saved on my system. The ability to dive down into any of them to see game/app-specific art, add-ons and social activity is intuitive as can be.
So you're admitting a gaming PC is nowhere near as cost efficient to purchase as a console, and my shelf full of $15-$40 PS3 games (because I don't buy games the first week they're out) I think supports the idea that console gaming doesn't have to be expensive on a per-game basis.
