She stole them? You mean she broke into Laura Dern and Jennifer Aniston’s homes and bare-knuckle boxed them until she won. Then she tied up Billy Bob and Brad Pitt and ran off with them?

Yep! And the Gunmen were in that too.

The idea that it’s “offensive” to suggest we might see our preferred cultural targets as anything less than one-dimensional monsters is a reminder that when people say they like art that’s “challenging” and “subversive”, they don’t really mean it.

So, we complain about the trend of movies bowing to audience expectations, and then we slam movies for not being as woke (or the wrong kind of woke) as we expect them to be?

To be fair, so do I.

Daisy Ridley reveals she’s unenthused by the prospect of Rey hooking up with Poe Dameron in episode nine.

Its basically so Colbert himself can avoid criticism for NOT bringing it up.

I’m not defending Franco here, but social media is a cesspool where commenters jockey for attention by posting the most outrage-filled hot takes they can muster. So it may not be the ideal forum for a wide-ranging, nuanced discussion about improving gender equality.

By “those” guys do you mean a guys possessing logic? Wahlberg obviously has a better agent but god forbid we don’t make out to be about the patriarchy.

“A major milestone that tells us this Will & Grace is different from Will & Grace V.1: As the titular pair themselves put it, this is a first. Will and Grace have never slept with the same guy before.”

Wait, what?

It’s not really a retcon. It was clearly hinted at back in season 7, almost 20 years ago. In episode 7.15 the Smoking Man drugs Scully and she wakes up in different clothing; in episode 7.22 she announces she’s pregnant..

The late ‘70s were an incredibly cynical age. One of the running jokes in the Donner movie is that Clark/Superman is so relentlessly optimistic.

Needed more Abbott and/or Costello.

Dealing with reality is not Hamno’s strong suit.

“the appeal of A Christmas Story has always been a bit lost on me. There’s just not much depth to the story of Ralpie’s childhood desire for a gun-filled Christmas,”
