It's a Toyota, so by ghost riding, I bet they were actually chasing the car after it took off on it's own.

@Middleswine: I'll be driving from Buffalo to NYC to Rhode Island on 10/10. I may do a tank and a half.

@Wrathernaut: German extreme sports are extreme!

Does it cost as much as the lithium ion battery?

I'm questioning that strut tower bar. With those bends, it looks more like a thick sway bar. I bet 3 point would be strong and could be made lighter.

"the most popular vehicle among thieves is the 2000 Dodge Caravan. Why, God, why?"

@Elhigh: Awesome imagery

@citroën67: The image didn't show, but the link did - oddly enough, I don't see the link nor the image now.

Citroen 2CV

"Commander, I see something on radar traveling at 414.5 MPH through the salt flats."

@Cheeseslap spanks his ACR for being good: Are you sure? I know the chassis supports it and was used for other cars, but I don't think the Focus was ever sold as AWD. Even the venerable RS was FWD.

Man, if I were that first guy that bought it at auction, I'd be really pissed off right now.

So they're rallying an SUV - wouldn't it have been smarter to rally the a Mini Cooper? Smaller, lower center of gravity, less mass?

Yeah, thats... a bor... snooooooze

Well, let's get started!
