Why would you believe him? The only videos he’s ever been known for have been outed as fake. This incident just happens to get articles written about him on mainstream publications. Even if the reactions were racist, he’s already had to fake it enough that apparently it’s not as common as thought.

Exactly. Also- “Central to the surreal—to the filmic—is a fundamental belief that violence is a fictional aberration.”

You’re mixing up the description. Abhorrent isn’t the opposite of casual. She used aberration. We know violence is abhorrent. The question is whether it’s an aberration or a casual part of life (it’s a falsely binary question, but that’s what she asked).

Agreed on the background of the Boston Busing riots. But the focus of the picture is the opposite of how it is used. That’s too big a bridge. It’s like showing a picture of Richard Jewell to encapsulate bombers.

Pffftt. I see your true colors...

Yeah, there’s a lot of criticism of Swinton that is simply wrong. She was the public face of a campaign against whitewashing that went on for all of May. She talked specifically about the role before Swinton contacted her.

I thought the rumor was that Mrs El Moussa (forget her name) was having an affair with the contractor. The gossip article I saw said she’s already cohabitating with him.

Also when you both work or travel nonstop, often with commitments on different continents.

Even if it’s rage worthy, it’s just an indication someone feels insecure, not that she’s being shamed. It’s very unlikely anyone involved from the bra maker’s end would want to make pregnant women feel bad about themselves. It’s the opposite of their business plan.

Lol...asking for help to understand something is a white person asking for a cookie? So basically don’t ask for help. No need to listen to others who might have a better perspective. Not unless you’re some type of privileged brat who secretly wants a pass.

I love that term. I’ve only heard it used a few times, but there’s just something so funny about a person refusing to “enact the intellectual labor” for someone else.

She feels the character was whitewashed to avoid a demeaning stereotype. Right or wrong, she’s not missing that she benefited from whitewashing. She knew they’d turned a Tibetan man into a Celtic woman.

Or, fuck everyone who thinks there’s a side to choose here. He shouldn’t have done it. She shouldn’t have done it. He was cleared legally. That doesn’t make him right. She shouldn’t be suing someone for a fight she started. She’s not in the right either.

Adult...people under 18 aren’t considered able to make informed choices. People 18 and over are responsible for their actions.

The answer is probably that you’re both right. For whatever reason, we’re not supposed to admit that men shouldn’t hit women because of size and strength issues (most of the time). But the video shows why men shouldn’t. If that means women “get away” with some things guys can’t, so what?

They think it’s unfair because the DA declined to press charges.

It’s also an acknowledgement that he knows exactly what happened and doesn’t care.

Because the succession has nothing to do with party. If the Dems controlled the House, it would be a Dem speaker instead of Ryan.

Or they simply didn’t release it because they wanted the information but not to hurt any Republican candidates.

It’s not a racist name. There were two settlements in the area back before there were towns- a Native American settlement and a white settlement. It was notable because there wasn’t another settlement for white people nearby.
