Ghosbusters is a prime example of why they’d never do it. Check out the crap that they got for doing that film which involved totally new characters reusing a similar premise. To gender swap an actual specific character? No way.

I think that this sounds bad mainly because the reference to Millennials and the description of a “shooting spree”. But if it’s just about some grumpy old guys going on a revenge kick against specific people then that’s pretty much in line with a tone of other action movies.
What’s weirder is that they have the girl and her accused rapist falling for each other and making out. Which makes no sense since she thinks he raped her, and to him she’s this girl who falsely accused him of rape.
Stephen King has said that the ending of the Mist movie is how he should have ended the book.
Dawson is amazing in it. It probably helps that he was playing a twisted version of his normal on air host persona.
Agatha Christie as well. Probably everything she’s written has been adapted to the screen, although many of them were as single episodes of tv shows. Ditto with Arthur Conan Doyle.
Probably not in terms of sheer numbers. King is an unusually prolific author, publishing, by my count, more than a novel a year over the last 45 years (and that’s not counting short stories). He was so prolific that his publishers made him use the Richard Bachman name for several of his novels because they felt that…
I mean, ScarJo’s got a point. It’s pretty implausible that a guy who married his stepdaughter and whose oeuvre was once primarily concerned with older men’s sexual attraction to teenage girls would molest one of his children.
My guess is that it’s a horrible write up of a much more understandable premise.
Of course, Trump doesn’t know anything about making a hit tv show. That was all down to Mark Burnett. And the best season of the Apprentice, creatively and ratings wise, was season one, which focused mostly on the contestants and used Trump sparingly. Once Trump got his way and made the show more about him the…
You mean Freddy Rumsen?
It wasn’t an AV Club article. I forget where it was from. The writer for the DC zombie series DCeased referenced it to plug his own book.
Yeah, Stewart started acting younger than him. I’d say her first big role was in Panic Room as Jodie Foster’s daughter, which was in 2002 (ironically the same year as Spider-Man). Maguire’s breakout role probably wasn’t until the Ice Storm in 97 when he was already in his twenties. I think Stewart looks young for…
Reminds me of the article which talked about how Marvel had ended the Walking Dead comic.
She’s only two years older than Tobey Maguire was when he starred in Spider-Man and the same age as Andrew Garfield when he starred in Amazing Spider-Man.
Also, if you’re going to a Kristen Stewart movie I think that’s not a problem for you anyway. Would PDA with a girl really impact her career? She’s been openly bi for so long now that I think everyone knows.
And Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Trump is all about dominance games, but he also clearly understand’s reciprocity. But it’s all about utility to himself. So he’s never going to stick his neck out for disloyal aides, but he’ll promote them if they kiss his ass.
Despite rocking his dad’s hairdo from The Thing, Wyatt looks nothing like Kurt Russell
True, I guess. I’m just surprised that there’d be enough close up hand work, and that it takes long enough to film, that you’d have a dedicated hand model come out to do the work.
