Ghosbusters is a prime example of why they’d never do it.  Check out the crap that they got for doing that film which involved totally new characters reusing a similar premise.  To gender swap an actual specific character?  No way. 

I think that this sounds bad mainly because the reference to Millennials and the description of a “shooting spree”.  But if it’s just about some grumpy old guys going on a revenge kick against specific people then that’s pretty much in line with a tone of other action movies. 

What’s weirder is that they have the girl and her accused rapist falling for each other and making out.  Which makes no sense since she thinks he raped her, and to him she’s this girl who falsely accused him of rape. 

Stephen King has said that the ending of the Mist movie is how he should have ended the book.

Dawson is amazing in it.  It probably helps that he was playing a twisted version of his normal on air host persona.

Agatha Christie as well.  Probably everything she’s written has been adapted to the screen, although many of them were as single episodes of tv shows.  Ditto with Arthur Conan Doyle.

My guess is that it’s a horrible write up of a much more understandable premise.
