I don’t think it takes much explaining.  If we excise the last two episodes, which many consider a very bizarre turn, Dany is one of the only political leaders on Thrones who is at all concerned with justice rather than just power (the other is Stannis).  Everyone else is basically about pursuing personal or dynastic

But those were clearly garbage.  The pressure for half way decent shows wasn’t as severe because there weren’t that many entertainment options.  When you’ve only got two other channels to switch to you can afford to give a show some time to build audience.

It’s a film that came out before most of the reading this were probably born and while it was a big cultural thing when it was released I don’t think it’s one of those films that everyone would know now.

Wow.  What does it say when you get busted for smuggling 10,000 pills of Oxy and you’re still only the second worst criminal on your show.

I think you might also see his neck as they do the tie. But there’s no shot of his face.

Agreed.  I like the theory that Christopher Plummer’s character is also a time traveler, who came back to help her career.

Other than some appearances from Peggy Carter, have any of the Marvel tv characters appeared in the movies?

I agree.  Her stretchy powers look fine in a cartoony comic book, but I wonder if they’ll just look stupid on screen.  There’s tons of stuff which looks great in comics but stupid on screen.

Wait what?

The sex cult was just one part of this guys operation.  He had a bunch of other scams and scam adjacent things going on.

Except when it actually was just “the big three” shows were often given time to develop an audience.  Cheers is the classic example of a show which took IIRC two or three seasons to really develop into a monster hit.  It’s only really been since the tv universe has fragmented that they’ve become so cutthroat tht shows

Batwoman is her own character though.  She was originally created in the 1950s as part of an effort to head off suspicions that Batman was gay.  After the character fell into obscurity they revamped her several years ago, keeping pretty much nothing but the name.

Inspired by the classic National Lampoon cover “If you don’t buy this magazine we’ll kill this dog” accompanied by a picture of someone pressing a revolver to a dog’s head.

Hasbro has always had the rights to Rom.  The character began as a toy and Parker Brothers (who then owned the rights) licensed it to Marvel to create a comic book to generate interest in the toy.  The toy bombed, but the comic stuck around for almost a decade.  Rom is now published by IDW, who licensed the rights

Everyone interviewed in the article was focusing on the drinking ‘omg Kanye’s got a Hennessey bottle”.  But to me this seems to be an example of his mental illness.  He’s since been diagnosed as bipolar.  This seems like exactly the kind of thing which would make sense, in the moment, to someone in their manic phase.

That’s interesting.  But how many hand shots would there be in a film to make it worthwhile to hire someone for them?

Hendricks isn’t the only star with a “before they were famous” hand story. The 1980s movie the Big Chill is about a group of old friends who gather together after a friends suicide. Kevin Costner was cast to play the dead friend in a series of flashbacks, but they ended up cutting all those scenes from the film to

Yeah, I remember that first christmas after he won, my Aunt and Uncle were over and they said that their church had actually made a plan that if Trump instituted a Muslim registry, as he had suggested we should do, that they would all falsely register as Muslims to gum up the works and protest things.  People were

If you were about ten years younger you’d definitely know who James Van Der Beek and Kel Mitchell are. Van Der Beek starred on Dawson’s Creek, the premiere teen relationship drama of the late 90s. Kel Mitchell was one of the featured players on the Nickolodeon sketch comedy show All That and then did the tv show Kenan

I find it really amusing that all these far right nutjobs adopted their vocabulary from a film made by a pair of trans women.
