I deeply respect her decision to not get any more dogs that will outlive her. My heart breaks every time I see my local humane society post a new dog with the description “this dog was surrendered to us after his/her owner died and no one stepped up to take him/her.” While that obviously probably isn’t the case for

“cool” is still cool

I think “cool” is like Facebook-not the edgiest thing, but popular among kids and adults alike.

The schools here have a “school schedule” book where all teacher-parent communication goes. So I do write written notes (and in purple glitter pen, heh... same one I use to grade my students’ work, cause I am also a teacher), but I don’t use stationery to do it.

Eons ago someone from Britain gave me a...I don’t know its name, but it’s a very old instrument that they still make. You heat up some sealing wax, make a little puddle on the back of your envelope, and then press in this metallic circle or any shape I guess with your monogram inside it. People sometimes also used

I never write stuff on paper anymore. Like, it’s been years. I can’t imagine using stationary.

Yep! Also - personalized stationery. It’s a must for adults.

Nicole, it’s okay to have been young and hungry for fame and dazzled by a guy who was/is one of the biggest stars in the world. No big surprise there. And then you outgrew it - and had a great career. Not sure there’s really much of a mystery here.

got dammit just when I think i’m gonna be an ice queen who won’t have kids, one of these little idiots does something crazy like this and it’s like, why wouldn’t I want this constant source of entertainment??

He’s Cartman. All grown up.

I’m just happy this article mentioned how unlikable the characters in Girls are.

I’d have a hard time taking my kids to an actively war ravaged place like Syria. I see his point. As an adult she can go where she wants - her person, her decision, but he does have equal say in where the kids go, no?

Hahahahaha, yes! I love when moms get crazy. My mom once flashed truckers while on a road trip with my insane aunts. Thank the lord I was not present for that.

I’m terribly curious how you knew it was a blow job, rather than some other sexual something. Was it because he was vocal and she was not? Did he say something that made it clear what was happening?

Ok, iElvis- you distract her with your suave moves, and I’ll grab that totally dope tiara. So perfect!

I wash my legs because I pee in the shower.

They really don’t.

Thumbs down when it’s a real problem involving children. Brad and Angelina’s situation is just a sad thing that should have been kept private.

I feel the responsibility for determining how to handle those cases should be put on the agency - they are trained to do what’s best for the family, and can hopefully put them in contact with needed resources or other support services if it is determined that abuse/neglect is not taking place. From my understanding,

I’m of two minds on that... actual abuse needs to be reported but we also have to have a clear understanding of what ‘abuse’ means. I grew up in an area with a clearly defined ‘poor’ section and a clearly defined ‘rich’ section (literally separated by train tracks). I saw too many poor families being investigated
