They pretty much fucked everything to do with Dr. Moon. Talk about a possible character death I wasn't given any chance to give 2 shits about. Such a waste.

So basically they took out all the tension and character building. Fantastic.

Those were definitely the MVP's.

So your from the states and spell color colour? That's odd.

Your point?

What about the movies he busted directed then? Or do those not count?

Spike Lee's movies for the most part are incredibly diverse. You can't compare them.

I personally can't ignore the lack of representation, but it's a help of a lot easier when the movies actually really good. Still bothers me though. Obviously.

Ugh, don't remind me.

Not true… especially in the Houston scenes. TEXAS IS LIKE HALF HISPANIC NON-WHITE. In 12 year in Texas you'll meet more people of Hispanic race at only a slightly lesser clip the whites. Especially Someone of Masons age.

I'll admit I did it ONE time before, but again. I have no problem with all white cast. As a black film buff don't think I do. I can't avoid it and I can't ignore it. People want to see people who look like them in movies or make movies about people like them, but you'd think over a career that last 3 decades he'd have

I'm 21. One day I truly hope to, but the reality is those chances are few and far between for someone of my skin color.

No shit lol. It's a systemic problem.

See I get that. You think I don't, but I really do. But representation matters and I'd bet Linklater agrees with me. In fact I could quote him if you'd like? It just doesnt seem to apply to his own movies.

I work with a Manuel and my phone has both versions saved and I couldn't for the life of me figure out which one was which. Is thatlike mild dyslexia or something? Cause if you put 2 vowels together (among other things) I'm gonna get a headache real quick.

Have you been to Texas? I love here and can say without a doubt there isn't a lack of diversity in Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio. San Marcos you name it. You're going to run into an Hispanic person often. Blacks? Less often , but were not fucking uniforms in a former slave state. There was 1 Hispanic person in

This is a weird response. Like are you trying to be racist or…. what? Cause I was just pointing out valid criticism of a "beloved" filmmaker the only way I know how. Either way of course white people are fine lol. It's there country always has been and based on the films linklater makes I can only assume he wants to

If he so great why don't his movie ever have minorities. I refuse to believe you can be considered a great American director and not with any minorities. At least the sea of egos know what a colored person looks like (Stone to a much lesser extent the Taratino who for all the n-words he throws around at least

I love Linklater as a filmmaker, but I'd hate to live in the racially hemoginized fantasy realm his films take place in. I pity him really.

I thought the depiction of Texas was the worst part. I mean where were the fucking minorities. Large swaths of Texas are immensely diverse and his movies… not at all.
